Psalm 33

Psalm 33 can be chanted as needed during the clergy communion and the preperation. Optionally, it can be chanted with the alleluia refrain shown below.

I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.

My soul makes its boast in the Lord; let the meek hear and be glad.

Magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together!

I sought the Lord with diligence and He heard me, and delivered me from all my wandering.

Draw near to Him and be enlightened; so your faces shall not be ashamed.

This poor man cried and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.

The angel of the Lord will encamp around those who fear Him, and will deliver them.

Taste and see that the Lord is good! Blessed is the man who hopes in Him!

Fear the Lord, all you His saints, for those who fear Him have no want!

The rich have become poor and hungry; but those who seek the Lord with diligence shall lack no good thing.

Come, children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the Lord.

What man is there who desires life, loving to see good days?

Keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from speaking deceit.

Depart from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.

The eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and His ears toward their prayer.

But the face of the Lord is against evil-doers, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.

The righteous cried and the Lord heard, and delivered them out of all their afflictions.

The Lord is near to the broken-hearted, and saves the lowly in spirit.

Many are the afflictions of the righteous; but the Lord will deliver him out of them all.

He keeps all his bones; not one of them shall be broken.

The death of sinners is evil; and those who hate righteousness will go wrong.

The Lord will redeem the souls of His servants; none of those who hope in Him will go wrong.
